North State BIA home tour kicks off this week

Perfect for potential new home buyers, the North State Building Industry Association (BIA) is pleased to announce the 2017 Sacramento Home Tour scheduled for October 12-15. Proudly sponsored by La-Z-Boy Home Furnishings & Décor, the 2017 home tour includes more than 40 new home communities and 150 model homes in seven cities within the greater Sacramento region. Model homes on the tour will range from 1,298 square feet to 4,357 square feet, from two to seven bedrooms, that start from the upper $200,000’s to the low $900,000’s. Participating Home Tour cities include Sacramento, El Dorado Hills, Lincoln, Rocklin, Roseville, Elk Grove, and Folsom.

Saturday, September 30, 2017, 10:00-11:00am. Come join a one hour guided tour of the Hamilton Square Garden in the beautiful Historic City Cemetery. With 800 plus unusual Mediterranean perennial plants the garden has drought tolerant color all year long. Meet at the Tenth Street gate.

Saturday, September 16, 2017 at 7:30 a.m. We will teach you how to deadhead spent blooms from the rosebushes and how tidying up the garden encourages repeat blooming of the roses in the Historic Rose Garden.

If possible bring your own gloves and tools, but we will also provide tools if you need them. Light refreshments of coffee and pastries will be served. Late risers welcome!

Join volunteers at the Historic City Cemetery’s Rose Garden for deadheading at dusk. We will be removing spent blooms from the many rosebushes and tidying up the garden which encourages repeat blooming of the roses in the garden. Tools and training will be provided, and light refreshments will be served.
