Superhero Theme Announced for 2015 Elk Grove Giant Pumpkin Festival

Elk Grove, Calif. – Grab your cape and gear up for the 21st Annual Elk Grove Giant Pumpkin Festival! The Cosumnes Community Services District (CSD) event organizers have revealed that this year’s festival will be jam-packed with superheroes! You and your sidekick are invited to Elk Grove’s largest family festival, set to take place on October 3 and 4, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in Elk Grove Regional Park (9950 Elk Grove-Florin Road).

With the festival less than two months away, CSD staff and participating businesses are activating their super powers to return festival favorites and present new attractions, including:

Weighing in at nearly one ton, you’ve never seen pumpkins like this before. Watch the monstrous, orange orbs hit the scales on Saturday morning. Entry forms for the pumpkin and produce weigh-off are currently available at yourcsd.com/pumpkinfestival.

Elk Grove to Celebrate Diversity With Fourth Annual Multicultural Festival

The City of Elk Grove will celebrate its well-document ethnic and racial diversity this weekend when it holds the fourth annual Multicultural Festival.

The event, which will be held this Saturday at the Elk Grove Regional Park, will feature a wide array of music, art, dance and of course food. There are 20 planned presentations from Mexican, Hmong, Brazilian, Azteca, Indian, Marshallese, Greek, Chinese, West African & Afro-Caribbean, Chinese, Filipino and Punjabi groups with musical performances from Kumandee, Innersoul and Latin Touch. ...
