Road Closure Planned, Free Transit Offered for Dickens Street Faire Saturday | Events
Elk Grove, CA – The Old Town Elk Grove Foundation will host the 25th annual Dickens Street Faire this Saturday, Nov. 24 on Elk Grove Blvd.
This annual Elk Grove holiday tradition features streets filled with craft and commercial vendors, free live entertainment, carriage rides, a petting zoo, snow park and more. This year, the City of Elk Grove will offer the first-ever seasonal ice rink in Old Town Elk Grove.
A section of Elk Grove Blvd. will be closed to accommodate the popular event. Beginning at 6:30 a.m., the City of Elk Grove will close Elk Grove Blvd. between School Street and Derr Street. At 5:30 p.m., the closure will extend from Elk Grove Florin Road to Waterman Road for the Parade of Lights and tree lighting ceremony. Roads will re-open at 9 p.m.
Traffic reader boards will notify motorists of the road closures and detours prior to the events.
The City of Elk Grove will offer free shuttle service to the Dickens Street Faire from 9:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. The shuttle service will pick up passengers every 15 minutes. Passengers are encouraged to park vehicles at one of the following locations and take e-tran shuttles to the event.

- Shopping center at 8787 Elk Grove Blvd.
- Cosumnes CSD, 8820 Elk Grove Blvd.

- Bel Air Market, 9435 Elk Grove Blvd.
